Acceptable Use Policy
This policy forms an integral part of the Terms of Service. Its purpose is plain: temporary numbers are an entirely legitimate privacy tool, but they are sometimes abused for criminal ends. This policy draws the line, and we enforce it.
1. Legitimate uses
- Protecting your personal number from marketing lists and spam.
- Trying a service or app before sharing your real details.
- Technical testing and software development.
- Legitimately separating professional and personal identities.
2. Strictly prohibited uses
Using any number from the Service for any of the following results in immediate and permanent ban with no refund, with your full records retained and made available to competent authorities upon lawful request:
2.1 Impersonation and verification circumvention
- Impersonating a real person or organisation.
- Creating accounts in someone else's name or with falsified details.
- Circumventing Know-Your-Customer (KYC) processes at a bank, financial platform, exchange, or any entity legally required to verify identity.
- Opening multiple accounts on a service that forbids it, or evading a ban imposed by another service.
2.2 Financial crime
- Fraud in all its forms, and phishing.
- Money laundering or terrorist financing.
- Trafficking in stolen card or account data.
- Fraudulent investment or cryptocurrency schemes.
2.3 Harm to persons
- Harassment, threats, extortion or stalking.
- Publishing a person's data without consent (doxxing).
- Any inappropriate contact directed at a minor.
2.4 Unlawful content and activity
- Any child sexual abuse material — reported immediately to the competent authorities without notice to you.
- Trafficking in humans, drugs, weapons, or any prohibited goods.
- Incitement to violence or terrorism.
2.5 Platform abuse
- Reselling or subletting numbers.
- Automated or excessive use that degrades the Service or harms other users.
- Creating multiple accounts to evade a ban or a limit.
- Attempting unauthorised access to our systems or to an inbox you do not hold.
3. How we enforce this
- Proactive detection: we log network address, device fingerprint and anonymisation signals for every sensitive operation, and link accounts that share a device.
- Abuse reports: we review every substantive report and take documented action.
- Measures available to us: disabling the number, terminating the rental immediately without refund, banning the account, blocking the device and network to prevent re-registration, and disclosure to competent authorities.
- Evidence preservation: where a report or legal request exists, we retain the related records beyond the ordinary retention period.
4. Reporting
To report abuse: [[ABUSE_EMAIL]] or the reporting form on the site. Include the number, the date and time, a description of the incident, and any available evidence.
